Jay Jandasek, CFA
Managing Partner, CFO
Jay is one of the partners at BeManaged. Since 2011, he has worked for our team in the areas of research and financial planning. He earned bachelor’s degrees in Statistics and Finance from Grand Valley State University. In 2018, he earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He enjoys coaching and playing sports, going to the gym and any activity that involves the great outdoors.
Johnathon Whaley, ChSNC
Managing Partner, CCO
Jonathon earned Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Dayton and a Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law. Since 2012, he has worked with BeManaged in the area of Compliance and Portfolio Management. Jonathon is a designated IACCP® as well as ChSNC® with a specialty in designing Financial Plans for families that have an individual(s) with a disability. Jonathon also serves on the board for the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan.
Jonathon lives in Grand Rapids with his wife, Ashley, and son, George. He spends his free time golfing, reading and hunting for good whiskey.
John Whaley, CFA
Senior Investment Adviser
John is one of the founding members of BeManaged and has been with the company for 17 years. He began his career in finance and investment management in 1979 after graduating from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Economics. He also has an MBA from the University of Detroit (1985) and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (also 1985).
John and his wife Sharon raised a family of three children in Livonia, Michigan and lived there before moving to southwest Michigan in 2009. They enjoy family time with the kids and three wonderful grandchildren. John also has a passion for the study of U.S. history, especially Constitutional history.
Kris Wilson
Office Manager
Kris joined BeManaged in 2011 after working as a Home Manager and Community Volunteer for several years. After graduating from the University of Toledo she worked as a Director of Development for several not-for-profit organizations. Kris and her husband are recent empty nesters. They enjoy traveling to visit their family, walking their dog, and honing their culinary skills.
Sharon Whaley
Controller
Sharon has over 35 years of accounting experience. Starting her career as an internal bank examiner with one of Michigan's largest banking institution and then spending 17 years as the accounting administrator for a commercial construction company. She has been the accounting administrator for BeManaged since 2010. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Gerontology.
Elizabeth Whaley
Principal
Libby earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Grand Valley State University in 2011. She began her working career as a high school math teacher. In 2019, she became a licensed investment advisor representative and began working at BeManaged. She lives in sunny Florida with her husband and two boys, whom she homeschools. Libby enjoys reading a good book, watching the sunset at the beach, and baking.
Elizabeth Fallon
Principal
Bizzie received her BAA in Family Studies from Central Michigan University (with a double minor in Sign Language and a Communication Disorders). She worked in the field of social work helping families with various needs, including financial planning. She currently lives in Grand Rapids with her husband and three little boys who love to keep her busy!
